For the organization that certified by GCL International Ltd, you can maintain your certification at this Covid-19 pandemic following our policy on “Management of Extraordinary Events” despite travel restriction or lockdown.
How does it work?
GCL International should gather sufficient information from your organization and conduct risk assessment of continuing certification before we can conduct interim remote audit.
How do we conduct Interim Remote Audit?
We can review your key documentation such as management review minutes of meeting, result of internal audit, corrective action records and evidence of product conformity by conducting interview with your staffs remotely using ICT tools such as telephone or internet based teleconference tool.
How does it affect your current certification?
(a) Stage 2:
If a stage 1 audit has already been performed before “At Risk” period, the stage 2 audit may be postponed to a maximum time interval of 12 months between the stage 1 and the stage 2. In the case when the stage 2 is not possible to be conducted within the 12-month from the stage 1, then the clients should re-apply the certification as new application.
(b) First Surveillance audits:
If sufficient evidence has been collected as above, to provide confidence that the certified management system is effective consideration may be given to postpone the first surveillance to18 months from date of initial certification. Otherwise the certificate has to be suspended.
(c) Surveillance audits:
GCL should justify adjusting the timing of a subsequent surveillance audit in specific circumstances. If a certified client has to shut down completely for a limited period of time (less than 6 months), GCL can postpone an audit that had been scheduled to occur during the shutdown until the organization resumes operations. The certified clients should inform GCL when operations resume so that the CAB can conduct the audit promptly.
Extended periods between surveillance visits may result in a need for additional surveillance visits for the remainder of the certification cycle.
(d) Recertifications audits:
GCL should justify adjusting the timing of a subsequent surveillance audit in specific circumstances. If a certified client has to shut down completely for a limited period of time (less than 6 months), GCL can postpone an audit that had been scheduled to occur during the shutdown until the organization resumes operations. The certified clients should inform GCL when operations resume so that the CAB can conduct the audit promptly.
